Adapter · Praktica B to Micro Four Thirds adapter
A Praktica B lens was built to sit 44.4 mm from the film. A Micro Four Thirds camera's mount sits 19.25 mm from its sensor, so an adapter 25.15 mm deep puts the lens back where it was designed to be, and it focuses from close up to infinity with no glass in between.
Praktica B is a bayonet, so an M42 adapter won't take these lenses. Look for one sold for Praktica B, sometimes listed as PB. Prakticar lenses have three electrical contacts in the mount that send the set aperture to the camera, a system Pentacon called EDC. A plain adapter has no contacts, so the camera never sees the lens's aperture setting.
