Adapter · Konica AR to Canon RF adapter
A Konica AR lens was built to sit 40.5 mm from the film. A Canon RF camera's mount sits 20 mm from its sensor, so an adapter 20.50 mm deep puts the lens back where it was designed to be, and it focuses from close up to infinity with no glass in between.
Hexanon AR lenses carry a green AE mark on the aperture ring, or EE on older lenses, which lets a Konica body set the aperture itself. An adapter can't, so turn the ring to a real f-number. Lenses made before the Autoreflex T lack the lever that signals the widest aperture to the camera's meter. An adapter doesn't use that lever, so both kinds work.

On a smaller sensor the frame is cropped, so each lens frames like a longer one. The f-number still sets exposure, while the depth of field looks like the larger number shown.
